This painting is inspired by travels through the north east of Scotland, in particular the area around Nairn and Culloden. Incoming came about after watching the rain coming in over the Moray Firth.

I use a variety of media in my work including oils, acrylics, watercolours and inks… basically anything that comes to hand!

In this painting I have allowed the fluid paint to soak into the gessoed panel and create it’s own patterns, reacting and interacting with other pigments to recreate the feeling of puddles and drizzle.
