This painting is inspired by travels through the north east of Scotland, in particular the area around the Moray Firth and around Culloden. It’s pair is called Incoming.

I use a variety of media in my work including oils, acrylics, watercolours and inks… basically anything that comes to hand!

In this painting I have allowed the fluid paint to soak into the gessoed panel and create it’s own patterns, reacting and interacting with other pigments to recreate the feeling of puddles and drizzle.
